A creamy and flavorful chicken casserole cooked in a slow cooker, featuring Swiss cheese, mushrooms, and onions.
Ingredients:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups cooked rice or pasta
Instructions:
Place chicken breasts in the bottom of the slow cooker
In a mixing bowl, combine cream of chicken soup, milk, sour cream, shredded Swiss cheese, sliced mushrooms, diced onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper
Pour mixture over the chicken breasts
Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours, until chicken is cooked through and tender
Serve over cooked rice or pasta
