Homemade Flatbread Pizza Dough

This Homemade Flatbread Pizza Dough recipe from Grandbaby Cakes is a quick and easy way to make delicious flatbread pizzas at home. The dough is soft and flavorful, and you can customize your toppings to create your perfect pizza.

Ingredients:

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions:

In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast

Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt

Pour the yeast mixture and olive oil into the flour mixture

Stir until the dough comes together

Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until it's smooth and elastic

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise for 1 hour or until it doubles in size

Preheat your oven to 475F 245C and place a pizza stone or an inverted baking sheet in the oven while it preheats

Punch down the dough and divide it into portions for individual pizzas

Roll out each portion into a thin flatbread shape

Place the flatbreads on the preheated pizza stone or baking sheet and bake for about 5-7 minutes until they start to puff and turn golden brown
